PORSCHE AND POLO

Comms from Sir Geoffrey of Eynsham:

Ladies and Gentlemen.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] Sunday 15th August is our turn in the limelight. Porsche & Polo is the celebration of Porsche's Middle ( I would say Golden) years.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] We now need you to get your members to turn out for this, already well established, event. There will a space for your Register infield and I hope you will use it.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] Cost of entry have been kept at last years level with one improvement. This year we will be charging per person this ensures that we do not penalise a single occupant in his car.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] The costs are.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] Member booking in advance £5[FONT=verdana,geneva"] Member paying on the day £7.50[FONT=verdana,geneva"] Non members £10[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] I hope that the benefit in prebooking will help you to muster your troops. Please contact Barry Smith for infield space allocation.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] Each participating Register Secretary will receive two complimentary tickets.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] The format is well established. It is a family event (including a members dog show) for the middle years cars will space on the perimeter for early and late models. This is set around two quality Polo Matches and other arena events.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] Accommodation can be arranged by contacting Narinder at Club Office or by contacts in the next Porsche Post.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] The Boxster & Beyond event will be a hard act to follow but, with your support, I am sure we can do it.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] Geoff Ives.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] Porsche & Polo Organiser.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

PS Camping available Saturday night. There will also possibly be a 4x4 track open if you wish to bring your own car -let Narinder know

It's cosy in the Melvin Motorhome ..... he does tend to get restless at about 04.00am, so I bought him something from the top shelf[;)]

So who is going? This is a middle years focussed event so 964RS and 993RS and Cup Cars etc very much a part ..... would be nice for the two marques together in one middle year RS Display ...[:)]

£7.50 per member -dull it is leaving those minor details off the report.... Bring a picnic, chairs and tables avlble at Spear Towers, and in the west wing (Des's Luv Dub.....)

Nice to see the ice cream vendor at the Polo this weekend! A couple of later interlopers in the RS lineup [:D], 993RSs always welcome in my book. Well done on the dog show too Melv & Sue, seemed to go down well
