PCM Problem - any help?

I posted a querry last October about PCM screen being grey on start-up but reverting to normal after a few minutes (warming up?), but although 29 views, no posts, so I assume nobody else has experienced this problem?

Now problems with my PCM seem to have got worse: still have the grey screen issue, but now have the radio / CD / map cutting out 3 or 4 times for 3 or 4 seconds on my short (7 mile) morning commute. Again, on a longer trip it all seems to settle down and work normally.

I suppose that I'm looking at a full PCM replacement but hoping that someone out there may have experienced this before and has a reasonably priced solution....??

Any comments gratefully received!

There is at least one company that repairs them as new replacement is not worthwhile, to expensive. Sorry need my PC to hand to look them up, will post later.

Thanks Laurence, but being a simple accountant, I'll need help in finding out how I get to them without causing more damage to the unit and rest of the dashboard! Do you know of anywhere to find that....even if it is just buried in the manual somewhere!![8|]

They used to have menu prices, so i would give them a call, give the symptoms and ask for a price.
