Do you have the 997 wheels then? I have a mint set sitting in my garage right now if not...

I think the 997 Turbo wheels look better than the first set myself. Are the first set Techarts?

I know a guy wanting a set of the wheels you have do they have tyres, and how much are you after, i will give him a ring..

Background: I took delivery of my new Turbo, and on the same day I drove straight from Reading to Bristol and fitted the HREs. The Turbo wheels were then boxed up.

The original wheels are currently without tyres, although I have a spare set of tyres with about 7000 miles on them (about another 5000 left on them). The original TPMS sensors were transferred to my HREs, so I decided to leave the tyres off the Turbo wheels for flexibility in what to do with them (sell them or use as track day wheels/tyres).

I have no idea what to sell them for as I have only recently thought about selling. I guess a new set from an OPC would be about £3500. But that would be with a new set of tyres (approx £1k). So I guess the wheels themselves should be worth somewhere between £2k and £2.5k. How much did you pay for your set (assuming they aren't replicas)?

Ebay has a used (and a little damaged) set for £2200 without tyres.

So I guess mine would be worth closer to £2500.

Hi

I think the turbo wheels look better but then, I'm biased because those are what I have on my car.

Great, a thanks for the reply's hope they keep comming, sill have not made my mind up.

Alex, i paid £1500, genuine 997 turbo wheels( checked the part numbers) and the tyres, Mitchilin N RATED Tyres, with about 5.5mm left all round. Not a mark on them, just the centre caps have a bit of corrosion, but every set i looked at had that.

Guess i got a bargain....

Incidently, the bloke i bought the turbo wheels off bought those HRE's sorry i thought they where GT2 wheels

Alex

The HRE wheels you have fitted, are they the "Carbon" series and what width... Think they look absolutely stunning, was thinking of replacing mine with the same wheels.
