hello all...well after sticking my sticky back plastic to the dash and it coming out ok,but not great,i thought ide have a go at a complete re carpet...so off i go to the carpet shop and get myself an off cut....at the cost of a tenner....yes a tenner.and it is hesian back not foam haha..i gave it a go...this is not an easy peasy job....not being a carpet fitter....anyway...i started on the passenger side as i new i could take the seat out and the seat belt thingies.. i took the old carpet out as carfully as i could but it wouldnt let go of the thick padding stuff so i left the foot well bit in ..i also made templates of the three seperate bits...clever eh?...so after a couple of hours i'd done it and it looks bloody good..used spray glue stuff to stick it down.(i sort of borrowed that from my mothers house)..then a fosters moment came over me and i left the rest untill the next day...so i started the driver side .....not easy when the runners that bolt down the seat have had to be welded to the floor after pulling away from a set of lights and finding myself looking at the sun roof...doh!!!!...so that side was very hard but it still came out bloody good..i just need some more sticky plastic for the middle dash part that has that piece stapled to it,,couldnt find any where that would edge such a small bit of carpet and i'v slung them away now anyway haha...re painted the metal foot rest as well...going to tackle the boot next but have to work out where to put the three subs.the amps, and the strobes,,but hey.......that will be another post haha..so it looks like this now.....what do you reckon...not toooooo shabby....oh yeah.....and car manufacturers heat mould their carpets.....you try cutting corners and shoving bits where bits dont want to go before you comment hahahahahaha..bloody hell...i can not work out how to upload a bloody pic...i have five or six to upload to show you the labours of my toil but they wont upload.....help me administrator please.....

If you click quote on my first post, youll see how I have displayed a picture. Copy that but substitute the address for your own pictures.
Its far easier to make car carpet if youre using the correct plastic back material. I buy roll offcuts to make lightweight carpets and you can shape them using a heat gun.

right guys i think ive nailed it...did the boot today and i reckon it looks ok as well...in fact it all looks a damn sight better than before ..any way...you take a peek and let me know...when you open the link, start at the last pic and work backwards,,haha,,,bit like me there i fear....the subs are a work in progress so ignore the look of them till i get them done,,,bloody hell its definately fosters time...oh and the tools you will need to accomplish this exercise are a,, jigsaw,,,a pen,,,some sticky glue borrowed and used from your mother,, a few fosters.... and a front room on the third bloody floor of an apartment block,,,(yeah yeah they are just flats )...a coffee table to lean your stuff on and a hoover thats not the best in the tool box....and most importantly,,,no wife or live in girlfriend to spoil your fun,,,,obviously that works the other way round as well for the ladies amonst us...although they would never lean on a coffee table having had a couple of beers with a jigsaw in their hands hahahahahaha...
