On this evening I took my anorak out. I really don´t know the meaning of all the M codes on the sticker underneath the bonnet.
That is:
BA for the interior
M 700
M 11381
I have an idea, but maybe someone knows for sure?
Rgds,
Hacki
P.S.: Obviously I´m getting old. Thinking about stupid codes instead of tracking the car.[

There is a list of option codes here - [link=http://www.porsche968uk.co.uk/porsche-option-codes.htm]Option Codes[/link] but I cant see yours there. Be aware not all make sense - maybe its the translation! Mike

Thanks, but all the standard lists don´t mention these codes. AFAIK M 700 is for early Cup cars and the 5 digit M codes mean a certain package, because otherwise too many separate M codes would have been on the list M 11381 then could be the list of all the Cup car mods I have no clue about the interior codes like BA. 701 is 'car-version slant nose' so I guess that 700 is the normal body but strangely 700 comes up with no information when put in the decoder [&:] http://www.kindel.com/Porsche/options.asp

The latest version of PET - Version 7 - has an on-line VIN decode which displays all the options fitted to any particular car (in English). Perhaps it's worth giving that a try. Regards Dave PS. If you don't have PET V7, just e-mail me the VIN and I'll look it up for you.

M700 is for C2 Cups 1990 and 1991. P5P5 is other common one. GP White! I have seen codes for drivers seat and passenger seat delete. Also for Nomex cover. Only other option I have seen was a lengthened wheel boss for tall drivers like me! Since they have lost the info on Cup cars from 1990 and 1991 we can make it up Hacki!

My N/GT carries the codes M13601 and M14181. I contacted Porsche After Sales for the birth certificate a while back. It came back with M1360 = Überrollkäfig geschweißt (cage welded) M1480 = Entfall Beifahrersitz (no passenger seat) It appears that they have deleted the last digit "1" when decoding it. Might help you in that enigma, Hacki
Typical Clubsport options listed are: I231ORIGINAL: h_____ Interesting my birth certificate came back with "no options listed", despite clearly having a welded cage. Tragically the bonnet sticker is long gone.

Cage won't be seperately listed on clubsport as it's part of clubsport package !

Laurence, I would agree, hence I wasnt surprised when mine came back with no options listed, but 964RS_FAN clearly has a N/GT with options listed. Welded cage sounds odd, as they all had them (?), but pass seat delete sounds completely plausible...... Maybe just one of those oddities....who knows?ORIGINAL: Laurence Gibbs Cage won't be seperately listed on clubsport as it's part of clubsport package !
