Rallies/track days
Your cover remains operative whilst your vehicle is entered in static show, classic runs and other events and rallies not involving competition or trials. If you wish to participate in competative rallies the insurers will consider these subject to full information being provided, some even provided free of charge. Track day cover may be availiable by arrangement for marshalled club events.

I would like an english version of exactly how to interpret this please. Ta.

Not that difficult to decipher really - anything involving track work, track days ( guessing PCGB events only ), competition or trials you need to speak to the underwriter / insurance company to obtain approval or pay an additional premium for.

One thing that does seem strange is that it appears that competitive rallies are viewed as more attractive ( i.e. less risk ) than track days. Usually any kind of competition / timed event is a full stop exclusion on a standard policy.

I'd still give them a call to clarify 100%.

Thanks that's basically what I thought. I have been told by the insurer (classicline) that Porsche club events ok but any other I have to ring up and get approved and pay an additional premium usually. What i find confusing in the wording is the first paragraph. Track days are precisely "an other event not involving competition or trials." Last paragraph does mention track days specifically though.
