Direction Indicators

When I indicate the light on the dash flashes but there is no sound. Is this normal as I am used to hearing a tick every flash on other cars owned.
I'm wondering if Porsche indicators do not make a sound or is this another volume adjustment I need to set.

Being new to Porsche with a new Cayenne S Diesel I'm finding a few things different to what I'm used to, for instance I still have not mastered how to get the ACC to actually control my speed but am sure I'll master that beast next trip.

You're right, no great ticking from the indicators. I've only the standard cruise on mine so you may have to resort to the handbook [][]unless Alex comes along to help.

Thanks Peter thats the indicators sorted, I've read the manual and think I misunderstood the picture on adjusting the set speed for the ACC so will try again.

The ACC is very simple. Just activate the system when on a motorway by pushing in the button on top of the cruise stalk. Best to select the ACC screen in the menu on the dash while doing this. You can then set the speed bu pushing the cruise stalk away from you. The speed held can be varied by using this stalk. It has markings on it to tell you which direction to push it in for what you want.

When activated it will stay at the speed set unless it comes up behind a slower vehicle in which case it will maintain the gap you have specified. It will warn you of a slower car ahead in the screen with a car symbol. It works very well. It will stop the car if traffic is stationary. If it comes to a complete stop you will have to gently prod the accelerator to get it going again. It's great in stop start traffic but if does not detect traffic lights so remember that! It does take a while to trust it to brake and stop the car.

Hope you get the hang of it and like it.
