Club Show Night update

The annual R13 Club Show night is getting more popular every year - with this in mind John is (with a little help from his friends) started the planning of the 2010 even, withy a view to making it the best show night yet.
This year we have the possibility of being joined by two other major sports car clubs as our guests, who if confirmed will be bringing even more exotic cars along than what we have had in previous years, and for those who have not been before we have seen some exceptional cars - that included Alain Prost's Ferrari F40 and a Merc SLK amongst some older classics such as an Austin 7 and of course the usual Porsche cars all gleeming.
Also a new venue is being considered tp accomodate the growing numbers we attractt and so that we can all park on one tramac'd area - unlike the field we had to use last year, when the Bowling Green car park was full of other patrons.
So keep an eye on this thread, and once John gets it all confirmed with Will and the guys I will update with more news..... but its all very exciting!
Cheers

Adam

Update The venue for our annual club show night on the Tuesday 29th June is: The Peartree Country Hotel in Smite (WR3 8SY) see website http://thepeartree.co.uk/ Starting at 7pm there will be a Hogroast put on for us (£4:50 ea). In addition this year the show night will be expanded into a mini-show. In addition to our existing show & shine, we have invited other clubs to join us - more on this as they confirm their attendance. There willl be no charge for entering cars in the show and shine or to attend this event. However we will be making a collection on the night in aid of the NOAHS ARK TRUST (for bereaved children). Cheers Adam

Hi Adam, Do you need to know numbers from other car clubs, or is it OK for them just to turn up? Philip

Hi Philip Hope that you are ok! The clubs that have been invited to join us have been approached by Will Gough & John Lord (as they are the organisers of the night) - but I dont see any reason for anyone else joining in the fun, or any need for numbers in advance!! [:)][:)] I will dble check with John for you and see what he says re numbers etc & get back to you. Cheers Adam

Hi Adam, Had a word with John at the annual lunch today, he agrees with you that he thinks numbers in advance is not necessary. So I will encourage a few friends from another club to bring their cars if they can. Many thanks, Phil

Phil - thats great stuff -- you beat me to it - sadly I was working today and not able to attend the lunch (or The Donnington parade this morning!)[:(]

Reminder for tonight.... I may not make it due to family circumstances but if I don't good luck to all who enter..... Cheers Adam

Any pix yet guys? I missed out [:(] got to the PT just aftr 9:30 to find deserted car-parks
