ALARMING !!!!

Merry Xmas everyone!

Leaving my radiator fan issues for the moment...

I have a cobra 8510 cat. 2 immobiliser installed. I don't like it !!
Horrendously loud, ridiculously complicated!!
Simple mode is 2 beeps to lock, 1 to unlock. It has a range of up to 6 beeps for different situations!?
Gusts of wind can set the alarm off. It 'sets' after 2 mins of inactivity. The volume is attention-seeking. As you may sense, I don't like it!
Any shortcuts to make it simpler? The wiring manual looks like a NASA document!

Have a peaceful and quiet holiday !!

Donald

Sounds like you just need to turn the sensitivity down a bit. (Saying this is much easier than doing it!)

Donald,
I have two solutions:
One is, if you have an open fire, light it, get it going really well and then throw the whole kit onto the fire.

Alternatively, find the local skip, and throw it in there.

Then fit a secret switch to disable the ignition or fuel pump. Very reliable, very economical. Never wake you at night.

If some-one really wants your car they will get it.

I have never had anything but hassle with alarms.

Happy new Year

George
