991.2 Convertible versus 992.1 Targa 4

I’ve always lusted after a Targa. I used to drive a lot to and from France and considered the access to the rear of the Targa somewhat restrictive due to the roll bar. Getting suitcases/large bags/cases of wine looked difficult whereas with the roof down on the convertible it was easy.
Now my journeys to France are not required I can revisit my dream. I have been offered a 992.1 Targa 4 which I am seriously considering. I like the idea of a 992 (new interior etc) but I’ve only had my 991.2 for 18 months, it’s very much a heart versus head decision. Any experience from someone here?
 
My advice: GO FOR IT !!!

Without a doubt this is the best Porsche I have owned in 36 years. The versatility of the roof system makes this car so attractive to own. The 4 wheel drive is, IMHO, far superior that the two previous 992S's I owned. It feels so planted and positive. Even my wife noticed this when she was a passenger for the first time.

You wont regret purchasing, and besides, they loose less in depreciation than other equivalent 992 models.
