OPC Relay in Support of the MND Association

This year marks the Club's 65th Anniversary and as part of the celebrations, members are embarking on a unique charity relay across the UK in support of the MND Association.

Beginning in Aberdeen and finishing in Exeter, the relay will travel between Porsche Centres across the country over ten days, covering almost 2,000 miles. More than 200 different Porsches will take part, with teams of five cars completing each of the 40 relay stages. Collectively, this will see members drive an incredible 10,000 miles in support of the charity.

At each Porsche Centre, a baton that resembles a Porsche log book will be signed and stamped by the relay team and Centre staff before being passed on to the next group of participants.

The relay has been made possible with the support of Porsche Club GB partners Esso/WEX and Lockton, alongside the hospitality provided by staff at Porsche Centres welcoming each relay team.

Porsche Club GB has chosen to support the MND Association in recognition of the impact motor neurone disease has had on members, their families, friends and colleagues. The aim is to raise vital funds to support those living with MND and to help fund research into treatments that could slow the progression of the disease.

Every donation can make a difference. For example:

£12 could provide an information pack to support someone recently diagnosed with MND.
£35 could fund a memory box to help a child create lasting memories with a loved one.
£75 could help an early-career researcher attend the MND EnCouRage conference, supporting the next generation of MND research.

Porsche Club GB encourages everyone to support the fundraising effort and help make a difference for those affected by motor neurone disease.
