1998 was a landmark year for Porsche. The company celebrated its golden jubilee with its 16th overall win at Le Mans, but did so just a few months after the death of the great Ferry Porsche. The triumphant car, the 911 GT1 ’98, was special in many ways, as legendary race engineer, Norbert Singer, explains.
