On Saturday, 20 March the Cayman Register hosted a special Zoom meeting where Greig Daly, Sales Director of
RPM Technik, walked us though their workshop, using the cars to demonstrate and explain many aspects of Cayman engineering. For an hour he covered the basics of tyres, brakes, suspension, exhausts, and some lesser known topics including lightweight flywheels and gear ratios.
Greig looked at:
- areas for attention as the age and mileage inevitably increase
- the impact of fast road and track use
- why you might consider non OEM parts and set up
- how far can you go, why, and what are the benefits.
