I’ve never been very sentimental about cars, one goes and another comes along. But Judy and I were both sorry to see our Macan SD go. It was an early car, a November 2014 registration and had been a faithful servant to us for nearly six years. In that time it had covered 51K and had done many a Porsche road tour, managing to keep pace with some pretty exotic machinery along the way. It was always a delightful weekday utility vehicle that could turn into a thrilling driving experience at weekends. I knew we were going to miss the old gal with its 500-plus mile tank range and fuel consumption that never seeming to dip much below 38 mpg however hard it was driven.
