Milbrook Proving Ground
It is two years since my first visit to Millbrook, a venue I had seen on various motoring programmes and wanted to experience for myself and to also investigate its potential to provide advanced driver training to to the PCGB membership. Set up and run by Colin and Jo Hoad, both expert drivers in their own right, and assisted by three highly skilled instructors, this secure testing facility is a friendly and relaxed way to test and improve driving skills and to learn about your car’s engineering and dynamics to better understand what it does through varying levels of steering, acceleration and braking. Some of the tips seem obvious when put into practice and, for me, prove extremely useful for road and track.
