Brakes, what brakes?
My 993 has blotted its reliability copybook and decided to let me down on the way to the pre ‘98 trackday at Castle Combe back in late June. After turning onto the M5 and looking forward to a great day on track, the brake warning light came on and the brakes lost assistance over the rest of the journey. Closer inspection at Castle Combe revealed that the brake servo pump, which is standard on C4, Turbo and RS variants, had failed (the seal let go after 27 years) spraying brake fluid all over my front boot compartment. Great!
