Rescue and restoration
Gordon Heslop reports:

"I rescued the car in 2016 from a local driveway where it had sat unloved for many years. I spent quite a lot of time recommissioning it (including a tricky battery tray repair) before using it as a daily 'classic' amongst my other cars. My past ownership covers 924, 924S and 944 and have always been impressed by how relatively 'modern' and user-friendly they are in comparison to contemporary offerings from other manufacturers. The 924 and 944 seems to be a proper classic that offers a genuinely engaging and enjoyable drive - eminently usable even in today's traffic.
