Lockton Insurance presentation

A presentation by Mark Harman of Lockton Performance Insurance

With snow forecast we had just over 30 members for an interesting talk by Mark Harman, Vice President of Lockton Performance Insurance, the PCGB insurance partner. Insurance by Lockton of PCGB members has grown dramatically in recent years, and now over 3,000 members are insured with them.

They offer individual vehicle cover, multiple vehicle cover, and a collector’s policy. The latter allows cars to be added with no change in the premium until the next renewal date and covers all makes. They also offer agreed value on any age of car, not just classics. And this includes salvage retention, where legislation allows. They also offer legal protection, breakdown cover and unlimited track day cover for PCGB events in the UK, including Third Party cover up to £2m (the excess is 10% of the value of the car).

The policies allow up to 50% above the agreed value to replace the car, this applies mostly to classic cars. Also, Diminution in Value cover.

As an aside, Mark mentioned that Brexit may mean that we will need to carry Green Cards demonstrating insurance cover when driving in the EU!

We were joined for the evening by Phil Graham, Register Director and Steve Gillings, the new Club employee tasked with supporting the Regions and Registers. We hope to see them again soon.
