This event will begin from Cyfarthfa Castle, Merthyr Tydfil, the magnificent former home of the Crawshay family, iron masters of Cyfarthfa Ironworks This is a castellated mansion which incorporates a free museum. A cafe in the Castle will be available for refreshments upon your arrival for the start. Cars will assemble at the Castle from 8.30am onwards and will be away from there by 10.30am.
Participants will be supplied with a pack containing full route directions and Rally Plaque. The 80-mile route will take you through some of the most magnificent scenery in the Breacon Beacons National Park. Suggestions for places to stop for lunch will be included in the pack.
The finish of the Run will be at Treberfydd House, a gothic revival mansion close to Langorse Lake, near Brecon, arriving there from 1.30pm on. This event has been organised to raise money for Wales Air Ambulance, a charity that relies totally on public contributions.
The cost of entry to this event is £30 per car for two people and includes a Route pack with directions, a Rally Plaque and entry for two to Treberfydd House. Guided tours of the house by the owners will also be included together with tea/coffee and cake.
