When: Sunday 25th.
How Much: £140 (Full day), the price for a second driver sharing the same car will be an extra £40.
How to book the day: Please contact the circuit office directly after the 1st of February on: 01554 891042. Let them know that you are booking for the track day being organised by Brian Jones and you will then make your payment directly to Pembrey Circuit.
Please note that no money will be taken from your account until a week before this event takes place. Place your entry as soon as possible to secure a place
Please either drop Brian Jones an e-mail or contact him by phone to let him know that you have booked. This makes it easier for him to keep tabs on the running total of entrants for the day
If sufficient numbers can be identified the circuit will be restricted to our sole use. If not, then it might be opened up to a second group of people (open practice for racing/other cars etc.).
The plan for the day is to have a briefing session followed by two sessions of up to 18 cars in each session then open pit lane for the remainder of the day as we did in 2017.
If he can get the maximum numbers for the day (36) it will be on a first come / first secured basis.
In previous years one individual clocked up an amazing track distance of 170 miles during the full day!
Currently there are a number of interested entries, with some cars potentially being double driven.
At present, most of these cars are Westfield / Caterham / Porsche and some Tin Tops & Rally Cars.
Everyone who attended this event in 2017 and also the years before stated they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, there were no accidents, nobody miss-behaved and that they were looking forward to the next one. We even had sun all day long on both days in 2016 & 2017.
Hoping to bolster the already confirmed entries and to keep costs to a minimum, this invite is offered to all members of:
· The Welsh Sprint & Hillclimb Championship, past, present & future
· Members of the Westfield Sports Car Club.
· Members of Porsche Club GB (Region 14).
With the plan to run an ‘open pit lane’ format there will be more than enough track time for all to enjoy empty tarmac.
This is an ideal opportunity for a pre-season shakedown to establish if all of those secret winter modifications will make a significant difference. Or perhaps you have a new ‘steed’ for this year that you would like to try out.
If your competition car is not quite ready for the new season then bring your road car along.
For members of Porsche Club GB this event will allow you to explore the capabilities of both yourself and your vehicle in a safe environment.
Brian will be having a further discussion with Phil Davies the circuit manager closer to the date regarding circuit opening times, possibility of borrowing / hiring helmets for those who do not have their own etc. and also the possibility of race tuition.
Please note: The circuit rules do not allow passengers to be carried in cars taking part, consequently wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends and mates can spectate or if you are inclined then they can double drive your pride and joy (if you trust them!).
No profit is being made by the organiser; the cost for the use of the circuit for the day will be paid by individuals directly to the circuit management.
You are guaranteed to get more time in the seat of your chosen chariot during this day than all season in any Speed Series. Use this opportunity to hone your driving skills and prevent you coming second on the serious events.
Remember Pembrey is a double header in four different championships and is also being used for a third event this year, consequently this will be a valuable practice opportunity not to be missed!!!!
