Following the outstanding success of the 2018 WOTY to S Wales we are very pleased to announce the WOTY for 2019.
This tour will take us to the Peak District National Park and our hotel base will be the delightful 3 star Izaak Walton Hotel in Dovedale,


which is a converted 17^th country house offering comfort, history and views of outstanding natural beauty.  In fact the NT Dovedale car park is 0.5 miles away from the hotel and is walkable in 10 minutes!



The tour will commence at lunchtime on Thursday 13^th June at a suitable venue around 2 hours from the hotel where we can lunch and then drive in loose convoy to the hotel.  Friday and Saturday will be tour days when we take in the pleasures of this superb region with some interest routes, sights and stops. 



The tour will conclude on Sunday teatime at another suitable venue on the way back to the SW.
We have been bolder this year and reserved up to 20 rooms which will be held for us until the end of December, hence the need to get this out to you sooner rather than later.  We realise it is quite early to be making plans for next Summer but in order to get a hotel that is of a high standard, that can cope with our needs and in the perfect location we cannot wait until Christmas to start the process!



The hotel has three categories of room and these are priced on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis with two persons sharing a room.  The prices are per room per night and reflect a preferential rate for a group booking.  The dinner rate included is £40 per person per night in the top fine dining, 2 AA rosettes restaurant.
These rates are:
Classic room             £200 (not a view over the countryside)
King room                  £210     (outstanding views)
Superior                     £220     (as above but even higher standard)
If we get the numbers we will have private dining in the ballroom each night.
How to book
Call the hotel on 01335 350981.  Tell them you wish to book a room for 3 nights on the above dates with the Porsche Club tour and tell them to type of room you would like.  The rooms are all held in the name of Stoneham, as the tour leader.  They will ask you for a £50 deposit which is normally non-refundable, although depending on the circumstances they may forego this.  They will send you an email confirmation which will have your name where it says “special requests/notes”.
