We meet up at Bishops Lydeard Station 0945 with prearranged Porsche
parking (for approx 14 cars) in front of the station as last year for
the Dunster Castle trip. There should be marshals on duty to assist
anyone unfamiliar. Non-Porsche cars please park in the main car park.
Our (steam) train departure time is 1015 arriving Minehead at 1147.
To cater for all requirements, we are adopting a more flexible approach
this year in that all in our group will be issued with a Day-Rover
ticket which means you can literally do as you please, so although the
plan is to all ride together on the outward journey to Minehead, you are
free to return on any train and stop off at other stations should you so
wish - noting that the last train leaves Minehead at 1615 arriving
Bishops Lydeard 1743. Timetables available at all stations and on West

Eating arrangements again are left to personal choice with plenty of
options available. Light refreshments are available at the stations and
train buffet cars. There is the Turntable Cafe at Minehead station and
ample choices in town. Dunster is just a 7min train ride back from
Minehead but note there is a 15-20 min walk from Dunster Station to
Dunster Village so a pleasant option in fine weather!
Costs are £16 / adult, £8 / child (5-17 years), children under 5 yrs
free, £15 / Disabled/Carer. In order to allow time for our tickets to be
sent out, the payment/booking deadline is Monday 7th May 2018.
Payment by cash preferred, cheque or bank transfer also possible -
