When someone at ‘R19 Towers’ suggested a GOAT event the response was: ”Great: 917K, 906, 909…Members can nominate the Greatest Of All Time”. However, that was not quite the GOAT he intended.
As you all know R19 is anything but conformist, so that’s why we’re heading for the Gourmet Goat Farm on Saturday 24 June for a 12 noon rendezvous with our more… caprine… friends.
Here you get to see lots of billy goats wandering around in their natural habitat in the lovely setting of Winterbourne Monkton, near Avebury. We’ve space for 40 cars and a splendid BBQ is laid on for the price of £18pp. There will be a vegetarian alternative. That includes tea, coffee and dessert.
Goat meat for sampling probably doesn’t help our vegetarian members either but there are some very tasty cheesy and goat-related comestibles available at the farm shop.
Oddball perhaps but come along to ‘stroke a goat’ and you’ll feel better about the world.
We will also be running a convoy to this event, great roads down to Avebury.
