British Motor Museum visit

It might be British. It certainly is nostalgic. It might even make some of us wonder what happened to so many British motoring names but it’s also an enduring reminder of the ingenuity and innovation that still comes out of this ‘sceptred isle’, cue strains of Elgar’s Enigma Variations.

Yes, it’s time to point the nose of that piece of German engineering you lovingly invested in and drive to Gaydon, Warwickshire, home to the British Motoring Museum. It’s great for kids, big and small and a very reasonable £10.00 per person for parking, entrance and use of the usual facilities within. Get there for 11am and slope off by 2.30pm, although you’re welcome to linger.

So, set your alarms for an early-ish start on 23 July, put on your favourite Vera Lynn album and be on a wave of looking back as well as looking forward.
