The Great Escape AN ALPINE Adventure for 2017

Coming to you in August 2017 'The Great Escape', an eleven day adventure for you and your Porsche.

Imagine driving some of the best passes that Switzerland and Austria have to offer, high in the alps. We use the mountain roads as our playground.

If that wasn't enough, we drive the sweeping roads of the Black Forest, the roads your Porsche was made for, with a visit to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.

ITINERY

  • Day One: Eurotunnel to Northern France
  • Day Two: Northern France to the Alps
  • Day Three: Rest day (with drives)
  • Day Four: Tunnels and Susten
  • Day Five: Grimsel, Furka, Oberalp
  • Day Six: Silvretta and Alpine meadows
  • Day Seven: Rest day on Lake Constance
  • Day Eight: Black Forest to the Porsche Museum
  • Day Nine: Black Forest to Northern France
  • Day Ten: Northern France to Home, via Reims

We stay in a range of different hotels from historic old towns in France to alpine lodges in Switzerland and Austria. Each comes with secure parking for your Porsche.

We breakfast at the hotel, stop for a light lunch along the way and then head out to a local restaurant in the evening.

Our driving days are spent on the sort of roads that your Porsche loves, a mix of well known alpine passes and roads less travelled. All are two-car wide with good quality tarmac. The German autobahns give you a chance to stretch your legs.

We drive between 3 and 6 hours a day, balancing longer and shorter days, taking breaks as we go.

Expect other adventures along the way; a visit to a glacier, a winery, an historic F1 course, a cheese maker or more. Each is a chance to let you and your Porsche recover.

We use a 'follow my leader' style, providing you with radio's and maps of the days driving.

If you would rather drive the route on your own, or stop to take pictures, that works too.

We take a detour from the sweeping roads of the Black Forest to visit the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.

A must-visit for any Porsche enthusiast, the constantly changing exhibits are guaranteed to delight.
