R20 Sunday Escape - Sunday on Sea

News from our final 'Sunday Escape' of 2015

An early start and we were still enshrouded in the morning mist at our first stop; Batemans Tower Cafe by the beach huts at Brightingsea.  Fortified with warming cups of tea and hot chocolate we enjoyed the twisty roads which are empty at this time of the morning.  Views of the countryside and the estuary were hidden from view as we headed a little off the beaten track.

With navigators instructions which simply read ‘twisty’ this was a Porsche drivers outing, in the glorious autumn colours.  The sun finally broke through as we reached out lunch stop; 'The Crown' at Stoke by Nayland after a good mornings run out.  The Crown were welcoming as ever - another R20 firm favourite.  Great food, casual atmosphere and plenty of parking.  It doesn’t get better than this!
