Change of Club Night venue from February 2023

New venue for Region 21 Club Nights starting in the new year

Following extensive research by your committee members we have uncovered a venue that could potentially provide us with a longer-term base for Club Nights and presentations.

This is The Cock Inn, in Sarratt, which is close to the epicentre of the Region. It is run by Nick Tominy who is a former member of PCGB, was a 997 owner and now runs a Boxster. The pub is regularly used by other motor clubs and recently held a successful gathering of the 928 fraternity. It has the feel of what I would describe as a traditional motor club venue. Just my opinion!

It has a large level car park with overspill capacity when needed, extensive outdoor facilities for warmer weather, some covered, together with an outside bar. They can offer BBQs and even a hog roast for special occasions. There is a decent menu, good beer and a very warm welcome when Ken Swain and I visited recently, so the feeling is we should give it a go.

See you there on Tuesday, 7 February 2023 from 7.00pm or earlier if you can make it, for our first Club Night of the new year. The location is in the Chess Valley, South of Bovingdon. The local access roads are, shall we say, “interesting” Full details can be found on their website.

I nearly forgot, it is reputed to be haunted but as Nick said “only if you want it to be!
