Scotland South member, Jack Fordyce has kindly put together a run for us on Saturday 21 July leaving from Abington Services ML12 6 RG and taking lunch at Strathavon Hotel, ML10 6SZ, travelling time or around 2hrs. See route below.

1. Meeting at Abington Service Station ML12 6RG (southbound M74) – for 10am departure
2. Heading on B797 through Leadhills to Wanlockhead ( highest village in Scotland)
3. Down B797 through the Mennock Pass to meet the A76 –turning left
4. Turn very sharp left towards Durisdeer/ Elvanfoot on A702
5. Continue on A702 up the Dalveen Pass to Elvanfoot, regroup and head north on M74
6. Leave M74 at Junction 12 on B7979 heading to Douglas & Muirkirk
7. Possibly turning left at Murikirk for brief visit to Kames Circuit
8. Then leave Muirkirk Main Street turning right on B743 towards Strathaven
9. Lunch at Strathaven Hotel on Hamilton Road ML10 6SZ (A723)
