On May 28th we started our Sunday run with a "Cars & Coffee" event hosted by local car enthusiasts Drivers' Collective in support of Chris Drummond's Race Against Time for Stand Up 2 Cancer.
Held at the Hill of Rubislaw, and attracting 75+ classics & supercars, the event was inspired by Chris Drummond, a lifelong car lover and Porsche enthusiast who is sadly losing his battle with cancer. He has dedicated the time he has left to raising money to help fight cancer and also to raise awareness - particularly among men who would often spend plenty of time and money on their automotive pride & joy while missing the signs that their own bodies might need some attention - and is using his mildly modified '88 911 3.2 to help. See the links above andPorsche Post (June 2017) for more on Chris and his campaign.
Ten members continued on a route planned by Mike Raeburn to lunch at the Kildrummy Castle Hotel afterwards.
