Sunday September 4th was the Annual gathering of classic, vintage and all manner of interesting motors in Grantown-on-Spey. The scale of this event, which sees the whole town centre of Grantown given over to displaying a huge range of interesting vehicles, never ceases to impress.
We met up outside the event as usual so as to arrive in convoy and get parked together as a group. This was a bit haphazard this year, as the spot we expected to be filling was already full, and we were redirected to the main Town Square area. We all ended up together though, even if not in the area I'd have picked!
I soon got over my initial misgivings when the sun came out and the crowds gathered to appreciate the cars, trucks, military vehicles, bikes & trikes. It must have been the busiest MotorMania yet, and hopefully the organisers will have raised some funds for local good causes, which is the point of the event.
As well as the cars, there were bands playing, dancers dancing, and plenty of stalls with local produce and food on offer. All in all a grand day out!
