Porsche Club Display @ Doune Historic Hillclimb

Porsche Club have had a warm and welcoming invitiation to put on a display of cars in the Paddock on Saturday 21st May at the 2022 Doune Historic Hillclimb.

The Doune Speed Hillclimb Course is recognised as one of the sports premier venues "The King of Hills" in Britian and hosts two rounds of the British Speed Hillclimb Championship and four rounds of the Scottish Hill Climb Championship annually. The Course was designed by Ray Fielding and is 1350metres in length. It has been altered in length twice since 1968 and today is 30 metres less than the original distance. The first event was held in April 1968 and Raymond Mays opened the course in June of that year.

The first Hill record was set by Sir Nicholas Williamson driving a Brabham BT21C in June 1968 at 48.84 seconds. Average Speed 61.82 mph. The current record set on 22nd June 2014 is held by Scott Moran driving a Gould 3.5L GR61x NME and stands at 34.76 seconds.

We are delighted that there will be several Porsches racing at the event (including some PCGB members) in 914's, 911SC's and even a 904 replica.

With practice runs and competition runs on both Saturday and Sunday, you are sure to see some good hillclimbing action from our display stand. Additionally, spectator tickets can be purchased (£7pp, under 16's free) on the day of the event.

We ask that all display vehicles are in place for 10am, with the expectation to stay until 4pm.
We will be bringing the club gazebo, so why not pack some chairs and a picnic to enjoy the day. The antiques centre will be open throughout the day as well.

This is a free to display event, so we would very much like to show our support in big numbers.
Please book a space using the booking system below.
