What a year 2020 has been! At last, it's nearly over, and that alone is worth celebrating. There's hope for the future, including for R2 - we might finally be able to do some real events by the spring. So, to end 2020 on a high and prepare for the year to come, in place of the usual Christmas lunch and party we have organised a Virtual Christmas Extravaganza for the entire Region to enjoy.
On Thursday 3 December the night will begin with drinks at 7pm, and run on to the infamously impossible R2 quiz. Once sufficiently lubricated, parlour games including charades will follow. The night will go on till late and, to really get the atmosphere going, all are encouraged to dress up however they see fit.
Virtual whisky tasting
Front and centre of this night will be another virtual whisky tasting - we are really pushing the boat out with this one!
We have teamed up with Greg Dillon, author of the book 'Great Drams of Scotland' and Brand Consultant to award winning independent bottlers Great Drams.
Greg will lead a personalised tasting session on Zoom from 7pm till 8pm, where those who choose to order will partake of four different drams, each a limited edition release bottled by Great Drams themselves. This means Great Drams have purchased the casks and bottled them independently of the distilleries - you won't find these expressions of some top distilleries anywhere else!
Greg is a judge on the International Wine and Spirits Competition panel, as well as the World Whisky Awards panel and the Spirits Business Master panel, so is well qualified to lead us in our session.
The cost for the whisky tasting is £32.50pp. This includes your four extremely limited release drams at 25ml each, shipping, VAT and Greg's time. This part of the night is optional, but highly encouraged, after all it's replacing an even more expensive hotel night!

If you wish to take part in the whisky tasting section of the night, please send£32.50to the Region 2 account using the ‘Pay Friends and Family’ function in PayPal.

Please do not use the 'Pay for Goods and Services' function, as this charges us about 5% of your money. We are simply collating the monies to pay as a group, not providing the service.
If you cannot use PayPal for any reason, please contact us directly and we can discuss alternative ways of collecting your payment.
STEP 2
Once you have sent the money, please email us at r2@porscheclubgb.com and tell us your address so we can have the tasting set(s) shipped directly to you.
**We must receive your monies and shipping address by 12pm on Friday 27 November. Any orders received after this will not be accepted and any paid monies refunded**
A Zoom link, along with any further information, will be sent out nearer the time.
