R2 Ferrari Owners Club day out

Over the last year, we have gotten to know the North East Scotland Ferrari Owners Club quite well. They are a small band of car enthusiasts, who often struggle to get big crowds to turn out to events.

So we are delighted to join forces with Gordon Gunn, our Ferrari Club counterpart to organise this exciting event.

This run wll involve an early start as we plan to meet at Goodbrand & Ross in Corgarff at 9.30am. Our route will take us over the Lecht to Elgin, click here

We are heading to Elgin for a day of cars and whisky. Firstly, we'll make our way to the Moray Motor Museum, where the usual museum entry fee (£12) will also get us a behind the scene look at the museums working garage! We will have plenty of time to admire the veteran, vintage and classic motorcars and automobilia and reminisce about motoring past.

We will then stop for a bite to eat at the Laichmoray Hotel before heading on to our next destination. Check your emails for the updated menu.

Yes, we're heading on another distillery tour - but which one? The North East is renouned for its quality Speyside malts from Aberlour to Royal Lochnaggar. One distillery that you perhaps may not have heard of (and definitely won't have visitied) is the Linkwood Distillery.

Built in 1821 by Peter Brown this small distillery has seen its fair share of turmoil - from barley shortages during WWII to being mothballed during the '80s. The wonderful Debbie Watt, Diageo site operations manager at Linkwood, has kindly opened the doors and invited us in for a private tour.

From there, we will part ways and head home.

As always, please email r2@porscheclubgb.com if you would like to come along. Spaces are very limited for this event.
