Seasons Greetings!!!
Following on from the success of the pervious years, R2 has once again booked the Strathmore Arms to host our Christmas lunch on Saturday 7th December. We will meet at the main Carpark in Glamis Village which you can see on the map - click here - at 10:30 before we set off at 10:45.
This year we will be visting Ogilvy's Vodka Distillery, just up the road from Glamis in the Sidlaw hills for a tour at 11am. Ogilvy's distillery is fascinating as the whole process from growing through to bottling is done on site, nothing is hidden away or behind barriers. The tour is £15pp and will include coffee's, a vehicle tour of the farm and a tour inside the stillhouse, followed by generous vodka samples or a drinks package for drivers. We will then head back down to the Strathmore Arms in the sleepy village of Glamis, where lunch is booked in their dining room, with a real fire crackling away. 3 courses are £32.50, 2 courses are £26.50, or dishes priced individually. You can buy your own drinks at the bar, where they even stock Ogilvy's vodka should you wish to sample it again just to be sure.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
10:30am - meet at the main carpark in Glamis Village
10.45am - head to Ogilvy's, about a 5 minute drive.
1pm - Back to Strathmore Arms for lunch
3pm approx - event ends, anyone wishing to stay around for a Social Gathering are invited back to George & Caitlin's place on the Logie Estate, 3 miles north of Glamis.
