Club night visit to Ninemeister

For the May club night we were invited to the Ninemeister premises in Warrington where we were treated to a hog roast whilst looking around the many rebuild projects in their various stages of work.

Nearly seventy members and guest enjoyed an excellent visit to N9 in Warrington. The company which will be known to many, owned by Colin Belton specialises in Porsche maintenance, engine development and complete rebuilds. Their premises are very well equipped and some stunning vehicles were on show. Some belonging to customers in for routine maintenance,  others for engine rebuild and power enhancement, and donor bodies in various states of rebuild. One which immediately caught attention was a 964 , finished in blue, pictured here, was absolutely spectacular. Built from the ground up to N9's specification, would make a super addition to anyone's garage!  Needs a big cheque book though.......

Colin and all the staff were on hand to show us around, and generously provided a hog roast supper for all to enjoy. Colin's dog seemed happy about this too. Because of Ninemeister's generosity it was agreed to ask for donations towards R5's charity, the NW Air Ambulance. Sue was on the door and took no prisoners, £360 was duly collected which will be passed on at the weekend. This money is in addition to the £185 our three tea and biscuits ladies, Sue, Kerry and Julie,  made at Gawsworth Hall on Bank Holiday Monday. A very good effort.

Colin and his staff were duly thanked for their hospitality, and R5's ongoing events were listed by Allan Crosby.
