An excellent presentation from Rainer about his career and the BAC Mono.

Our March Club Night was a great opportunity to learn about the interesting and varied career of Rainer Kühlwein, one of the founder members of the Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) Ltd.
Director of Manufacturing, Rainer has played a vital role in the development of the BAC Mono,a lightweight, ultra high performance, road legal, single seater supercar.
His automotive background stems back to the motor industry around Stuttgart gaining experience at Gemballa and Isdera Cars and test driving for Auto, Motor and Sport Magazine while studying at Stuttgart University.
Gaining some racing experience in a Mazda MX5 series, the Radical Cup and VLN Nurburgring driving a BMW 3 Series before commencing a career with an International Consultancy in Berlin.
This is just a small part of his interesting life and those who weren’t there missed a special night. A small group will soon have the chance to visit the BAC Factory and see the Mono in the flesh. This will be a Saturday morning meet with a group drive over to the Speke facility and finish with a lunch at Norman Shum’s restaurant, the Chung Ku. Situated on the banks of the River Mersey with amazing views of the Liverpool docklands it is a great place to sample authentic Cantonese cuisine.
