The Carrera Cup returned to Croft after a two year absence

Rounds 10, 11 & 12 of the British Touring Car Championship were held at Croft. An added bonus for us was the return of the Porsche Carrera Cup to Croft, with rounds 5 & 6 of the championship. With plenty of other track action from F4, Clio Cup, Junior Ginetta Junior and Ginetta GT4 championships, there was plenty to keep us entertained. There was plenty of local talent to get behind too; in the BTCC Sam Tordoff, sporting the number 600, a nod to the family business JCT600 and his grandfather Jack’s rally car number plate, in the Renault Clio Cup Max Coates from nearby Scorton, and of course, local Porsche Carrera Cup team Redline Racing. Lots of support for 18-year-old, BRDC Rising Star, Dan Harper in the GT3 Cup car, racing for JTR, whose team principal Nick Tandy is no stranger to Porsche racing.
In true Croft fashion we all suffered at the hands of the weather, with torrential downpours just as the Porsches came out on track on both days, but what’s a bit of rain to R3?
