While some of our members had committed to the long drive to the Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche, booking tickets and hotels, some of our members were looking at a good local weather forecast. John Hancill enquired about organising a run out and plans were formed. Eight cars took part in a relaxing drive across the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Breakfast at Lanchester Garden Centre then on to Middleton-in-Teesdale and Kirkby Stephen, this route is certainly becoming into one of R3’s favourites, and a one that is so different when driven in either direction.
