Making the most of the last days of the event season with a run into the Borders
Kielder Sunday Drive 18th November 2018 Keen to get out on the roads before winter really sets in, we met at Hexham Services for a Sunday drive. As impromptu runs go this turned out to be a busy one, with over 20 cars turning up. We headed to Kielder Village for Sunday lunch at the Anglers Arms, who did a great job of feeding almost 40 hungry R3 members at short notice. After lunch some cars headed straight home, leaving the rest of us to head over the border on one of our favourite roads towards Bonchester Bridge before turning back over the border at Carter Bar, where we stopped for some windswept photos. We ended the day with a last stop at the Errington Coffee House for cuppas and cake.
