Heritage Classics Workshop Visit

We were invited to Heritage Classics in Middlesbrough to see the restoration work being carried out in their workshops. Thank you to R3 member Paul Taylor who organised the visit. The workmanship that goes into these restorations is a true art, from the welding and paintwork to the upholstery trimming.

The magnesium bodied Allard Essex Aero was a sorry sight, one of only two ever built. It seems magnesium doesn’t like water; not an ideal choice for a car body, especially when it is left out in a farmer’s field. John and his team will have their work cut out to restore that one.

Heritage Classics Workshop Visit March 2016 gallery contains 26 images and is part of the PCGB North East region activities from April 2016
