Our annual season opener started on a miserable Sunday morning at Toys R Us, with a lot more cars than we expected. We set off up the Tyne Valley for lunch at Kielder Village. After lunch, the sun came out & off we headed over the border to Hawick via Bonchester Bridge, with intentions of turning South through Newcastleton. Unfortunately we came across a road closure with no diversion in place. We rerouted down the A7 which turned out to be a great driving road, towards our final coffee stop at Sally’s at Warwick Bridge. A fun day out for R3; great company, a fantastic mix of Porsches, fabulous driving roads, good food, some unintentional diversions and sadly one DNF.
