Helmingham Car Show

Another very well attended day at Helmingham, with 50 Porsches booked in.

Unfortunately not everyone managed to get onto our Club stand as the queues to enter the grounds were very long and some cars were sent to other parking areas. However, 17 cars did meet up in the Mendlesham layby to travel together. Once everyone had parked up the gazebo was erected and, deckchairs at the ready, tea/coffee and bacon butties were the order of the day.

We were delighted to meet several members who were joining us for the first time, including Jeremy with his Boxster, which used to be the ‘Top Gear’car, and Max who brought a taste of Italy with him as he was born in Sicily and had travelled from his home in Woking. As usual there was lots going on in the grounds, with plenty of stalls to browse, plus live music and amazing cars to drool over. The organisers have informed us that there were 566 cars on the club stands alone this year as well as the ‘privateers’ on the other side of the drive. As usual, the entrance fees would go to East Anglian Children’s Hospice. The date for next year’s event will be on Sunday 2 August.
