Further to our email dated 16th December regarding Brian Glover liaising with Scenic Car Tours to arrange a Region 12 weekend trip to Spa, members were interested in the 3 night break for which bookings can now be made – full details below. The format will be:
Travel to Spa on Friday to the “Michel Friends Hotel” in Monschau, some 45 minutes from the circuit.
Entrance to the circuit is FREE for people driving a Porsche.
Drive to the circuit on Saturday morning, where there are various events going on all day ranging from complete beginners driving on the track, so no GT3s scaring you silly passing at high speed on both sides at the same time, to a “full on” private track hire at 5000 euros!
Drive to the circuit on Sunday for more of the same & then returning to UK on Monday.
At the circuit there will be an “open bar” for 60 euros where by you can get all your food and drink for the day, until the evening when there is more food for an additional fee of 45 euros. I envisage that most people will want to go back to the Hotel but, it is an option.
What may be of interest is the “Discovery & Classic” whereby it is an “open pit lane” and will comprise of 3 x 20 minute sessions on the circuit, these are aimed at people who have never driven on the circuit so you will be with people of the same experience, the cost for this is 350 Euros.
There are various other options including a “Tulip Style Road Rally” comprising of 2 set loops each of approximately 100KMS, so plenty going on! The cost of this is 230 Euros including one passenger.

We have asked Scenic tours to organise a package for this event. For those staying Friday to Monday the cost will be £299.00. per person and includes return ferry, hotels and specified meals, travel guide and a rally plaque for each car. Parking at the hotel is reserved for R12 but there will be an extra charge of 7 euros per day.
The Michel Hotel Monschau (formerly the Carat Hotel) for 20th April X 3 nights has been booked for region 12 weekend to Spa Circuit. Hotel will be booked mainly on a “Bed & Breakfast” basis but dinner is provided on the first night
Members can now book onto this tour with the £100.00 per car non-refundable deposit In order to confirm their places , first come, first served.
The full balance isn’t then due until 10 weeks prior to the tour. (9th Feb).

Deposits can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card or cheque. Credit cards carry 0.91% transaction fee, all other methods of payment carry no such fee’s .
