Bletchley Park
Our visit to Bletchley Park and The National Museum of Computing on 27 June was enjoyed by 27 members. We parked together at ‘TNMOC’ and walked to the visitor centre for Bletchley Park, where we were handed an audio guide. Members then split up and went in various directions around the numerous huts and the mansion. The original Victorian mansion and library are presented as they would have been in World War 2 and veteran’s stories are exhibited in the building. We visited Hut 8, which was the Enigma code-breaking hut with Alan Turing and where his office has been recreated.
