R11 Concours - a great success

Welcome to the R11 concours. Everyone is a contestant. Some are true winners, some are regulars, some rarely seen. When the sun shines it's a beautiful thing!

33 cars entered the event this year. I toured the lot with Mark Goody - Dealer Principal at the end. His most frequent comment apart from "these cars are the reason I work here" was "I could put that on the lot right now" - referring to the showroom condition of many of the cars.

Mark's team of judges had worked hard on the concours scoring. He, Martyn, and I were giving the final adjusting score for age and mileage that would go towards the winning scores. In the end the results were extremely close with one category tied 3 ways for 3rd place, and one pair of winners separated only on countback.

Further details will be in Porsche Post but, look away now.....the winners were: a fantastic white 928S4, and immaculate grey 997, and our cover photo the beautiful blue 914.

I would like to offer a sincere thanks to the Porsche Centre. It was an evening of great fun and spirits for around 60 members. I think the staff really enjoyed themselves too.
