Due to the impact of COVID-19 travel restrictions, me contracting the virus just before a planned visit, and the GT4 battery choosing to die when he last visited two years ago, my patient co-owner David Sass had not driven our shared car for nearly two and a half years. It therefore seemed appropriate to time our first event in 2022 with his long overdue visit since moving from Guernsey to take up residency in Jersey. Even then his arrival was significantly delayed by storm Eunice. I was beginning to think he can’t take a hint; I had even moved house in the interim, but nonetheless I resisted pretending I had mislaid the keys.
