Club Awards Scheme for 2022 achievements now open

Celebrating the accomplishments of Club members and volunteers

Do you think that your Region is simply the best, or does your Register go the extra mile? Or perhaps you know of a fellow member who has made a contribution to the Club during 2021 that is exceptional and worthy of wider recognition?

If so, then let us know by taking part in the Awards Scheme for 2022.

Our annual awards scheme is now open to help enable the Club to recognise outstanding achievements, and you can help.

Club members are invited to make nominations across six categories. There are a further two awards that may be presented at the discretion of the Board of Directors, and an entirely new award for the member who has submitted the most notable feature item for Porsche Post. There are additional awards for members who have completed 30 years continuous membership.

Nominees will be assessed on the basis of the evidence submitted, not on the number of nominations received.

As in previous years, nominations will be assessed by a ‘Panel of Peers’. This year the panel will consist of at least one Regional Organiser and Register Secretary, chosen at random in a draw supervised by a senior member of our Clubhouse team. Steve Gillings, PCGB Regional Operations Manager will form part of the panel along with an independent representative from our current group of business partners. Former PCGB Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Director, Ken Mack has kindly offered to once again oversee and chair the process.

In the event that a joint RO/RS is selected for the panel, one or both members may join. RO/RS members who served on the panel in the previous year will not be eligible. Should any of the panel be included either directly or indirectly in an award nomination, they will be excluded from discussions about that nomination. In such circumstance the Chair will, if necessary, have the casting vote in the event of an evenly split decision.

We aim to present the awards personally in April.

The categories are:

The Sheffield Trophy (Region of the Year)
Awarded to the Region which has consistently delivered as full as possible a complete programme of events for its members, including events delivered on a virtual platform such as Zoom; and has taken positive steps to increase membership; and has promoted national virtual and physical events.
