Collecting Cars presents "The Leonard Collection", a highly prized assembly of high performance and track orientated Porsches.
One of the most impressive collections of modern Porsche road cars is now live for bids on the Collecting Cars auction platform - and all lots are for sale at No Reserve.
Less than 24 hours after opening for bids, the 38 vehicles of
The Leonard Collection already have a total current bidding value of £4.89 million, with the highest bid standing at £662,722 for the 2006 Porsche Carrera GT at the time of writing. The auctions close for bids on Sunday 16 May from 18:00 BST.
The astonishing set of cars has a particular focus on rare Porsche ‘RS’ models, and has been assembled over the last decade by an enthusiast with an obsession for originality and quality.

The brand new 30-year-old Porsche
With its lightweight specification and pared-back interior, the Porsche 964 Carrera RS is one of the marque’s most coveted driver’s cars. There are three examples on offer, with the most remarkable being a 1991 car in Guards Red that is - incredibly - still unregistered and has delivery mileage of just 164km. It represents a genuine opportunity to buy a ‘brand new’ Porsche 964, 30 years after it left the factory.
The unique supercar
While the collection is full of special cars, the
2006 Porsche Carrera GT is truly unique. Finished in rare Fayence Yellow, it was ordered from the factory with a bespoke leather interior by the marque’s Exclusiv Manufaktur department, making it one-of-a-kind. It is renowned for its sensational performance and handling, and this car is also fresh from a major service.
The first ‘Rennsport’ 911
Among the most hallowed of collector cars, the
1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS stands out as the first coupe to wear the ‘Rennsport’ badge. The car on offer is one of only 11 examples known to have left the factory finished in the Aubergine hue, and more significantly a sum of £115,000 has been invested in a bare-metal restoration, mechanical rebuild and recent fine detailing. It also boasts fantastic provenance, having formerly been in the collection of Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay.
The ultimate 911?
Dubbed as such by Evo magazine’s Roger Green at launch, the
Porsche 997 GT3 RS 4.0 is undoubtedly one of the greatest 911s of all time. Combining a 493bhp ‘Mezger’ flat-six with a slick manual transmission and sublime dynamics, it has earned a reputation for being one of the most exciting driver’s cars. Exceptionally rare in right-hand drive, the car on offer is finished in Carrara White with matching white wheels, ceramic brakes and the suspension lift system. It also has just 713 miles from new - making it likely the nearest thing to a brand-new RS 4.0 that it is possible to find.
The collection’s focus on some of the rarest roadgoing 911 ‘Rennsport’ models is also particularly appropriate given the platform’s official auction partner status with Porsche Club GB.

In addition to the 23 Porsche models on offer, a further 15 vehicles are also being sold, which include a 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale and 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, two examples of the rare 1990s F512 M supercar, a fully restored 1972 Chevrolet Corvette ‘Stingray’, and a sensational 2005 Ford GT with every factory option.
The quality and originality of the cars in The Leonard Collection is evident throughout the lots on offer. While some have been only sparingly driven and preserved, many have been fully enjoyed as intended, and kept fastidiously maintained. The vendor has found great pleasure in owning these exceptional cars, and they are all now offered to a new set of enthusiasts at No Reserve, closing for bids on Sunday 16 May from 18:00 BST.
