Sometimes the hardest thing to do when reviewing a car is to put yourself in the shoes of a potential buyer. The new Panamera Turbo S is one of those cars that makes this especially difficult. It is vast, wildly expensive and wildly powerful, all to a degree whereby you constantly find yourself wondering how you could fit any of its remarkable attributes into your daily life. Who would want a car like this? Everyone and no one. It’s fantastic and ridiculous in equal measure.
This subtly facelifted second generation Panamera remains a very attractive car, its substantial five-metre length and two-metre overall width artfully drawn into something with an energy and dynamism that should be wholly unlikely in anything of this size. The Turbo S adds a few nice design details, such as unique twin tailpipes, but is fundamentally the same beast without.
