You may have heard the recent news from the government, suggesting that all purely petrol and diesel cars will be banned from sale by 2030?
This means your next new car is probably going to have electrification built in somewhere. Maybe you are ready for this? If like many others you hadn’t given it much focus, we are here to help. We are the Car Show Guys, and our day job is to teach automotive salespeople about cars. We know from our experience that they don’t always have the background, understanding, or personal interest to answer your questions effectively.
It’s difficult for us all, as there are so many types of electrification, many ways to operate these systems and then there’s the endless questions around what exactly does an EV do? How does it work? Then there’s the dreaded range anxiety, and who knows if the UKs infrastructure can keep up?
Well, hopefully, we do! We aim to clarify these questions and more in a series of three shows, designed to give you a little better understanding of electric vehicles. Each show lasts around 1 hour and allows plenty of participant interaction. We are also expecting a lot of questions, so who knows where it will take us?

Thinking of an Electric Car? - Wednesday 16 December
In the first of our shows, we aim to dissect the different types of Electric Vehicles. It’s designed to take an EV novice through the various options open to you and to draw out questions that once answered, aim to leave you more informed and more confident around EVs.
We’ll start by asking why electrification seems to be the answer at the moment and explore the current options available. We aim to be generic rather than talk ‘all about Porsche products’, although that’ll be difficult as we’re all petrolheads.
We will also dive a little deeper into how the different types of EV work, in as simple a way as possible, and to finish, we will ask the question… Which one might be right for you?
And the answer may well be none of them! It is not our intention to convert you or to coerce you, we will just stick to the facts and ask you to keep an open mind.
